This scaled terrain model is placed at the historic „Rieselfelder“ in Münster. It shows the visitors how wastewater drains into the ground.
The functional model is made of PU-foam. The foam was cut into blocks and profiles, which represent the planned ground topography. Drain pipes and intake pipes were made of copper tubes. All joints were extensively filled and sealed. The complete surface is varnished waterproof.
